About Human Resource Development Centre-Kannur University
The UGC-Human Resource Development Centre, University of Kannur established on 13.08.1987, has been imparting professional training through Orientation Programme, Refresher and Short Term Courses of a large number of College and University teachers within and outside the state. HRDC is also organizing Professional Development course for the Non-Academic staff, Interaction Programme for Ph.D Scholars, Short Term Course for the Professional Development for Academic staff of Universities / Colleges and National level seminars in various topics in different disciplines. The Human Resource Development Centre is fully facilitated with sufficient number of techno savy class rooms, well maintained computer lab and a resourceful library. We have a fullfludged Guest House exclusively for the participants of HRDC. It is certain that the Human Resource Development Centre, University of Kannur can defenitly play a vital role in achieving the real goal of higher education.
Objectives
Understand the significance of education in general, and higher education in particular, in the global and Indian contexts | Understand the linkages between education and economic and socio-economic and cultural development, with particular reference to the Indian polity where democracy, secularism and social equity are the basic tenets of society |
Acquire and improve art of teaching at the college/university level to achieve goals of higher education | Keep abreast of the latest developments in their specific subjects |
Understand the organization and management of a college/university and to perceive the role of teachers in the total system | Utilize opportunities for development of personality, initiative and creativity and Promote computer literacy as well use of ICT in teaching and learning process. |
